    The Snow Queen Movie Review

The Snow Queen 3 Director - Zlatko Buric Cast - Anna-Karin Berg, Alexandra Maria Lara, Joseph Charles Hernández, Zlatko Buric Rating - 2/5 You walk into a queue. In a mall. Inside an educational and entertainment complex.

It is nothing out of the ordinary, except the lady taking the ticket begins to elaborate. She says this is not just the right time to catch a movie, but the right time to catch THE movie, a full-length movie.

After peeping at the movie poster, I have an inkling of what this might be about: action, children, two young people about to become parents, a boy and a girl, two villains - all set in a snowy landscape. So what do I do? Book a ticket for the 3:20PM show? I mean, really, the timing fits.

The Snow Queen 3 Movie Review

The Snow Queen 3: Fire and Ice The story: In Aarne Maandaa (Jaume Collet-Serra, over-used in the film world), Onni, newly appointed custodian at the local fair, gets exposed to the icy majesty of the land in which he and his son are.

Determined to get a glimpse of the ice queen (Kate Beckinsale), Onni decides to brave the elements and gets kidnapped. What happens next? The Good: Much to my surprise, I really enjoyed this. The visual effects were awesome and the animation was sharp.

The characters were rather endearing and the story had a nice mix of humour and creepiness. The music too, while mindless, was catchy. A perfect mix of horror and romance. The Bad: The only two things that didn’t really gel with me were the narration and the music.

    Summary

Based on Hans Christian Anderson's story, the second instalment in the Snow Queen Trilogy (three films in total) shows Snow White as a young lady who helps her mother reunite her with her real family, only to find that they are evil ones.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider movie review: If you've seen the other movies of the franchise, the rebooted one released earlier this year won't be too dissimilar to the earlier ones. But does that make it good?

The movie begins with the five people staying in their travel agency office, Chasing Them in the Woods, whose mission is to hunt them down because they have committed murder and are on the run from the police.

    Characters

Anna – Elsa’s sister. Annoyingly annoying and this is evident. She is the main culprit for what happens at the start of the film. Olaf – A typical short, happy, wet and smiling snowman, when someone around him hates him he cries a lot. Kristoff – Hans’ brother.

Does nothing that people can say about him. Juggernaut Snowmobile – This is the most amazing thing in the movie. Without anyone in it, I would call it the most amazing movie vehicle in the history of movies.

Advertisement Characters About Us Hans - He was the one who entered the Mirror, after he saw something shocking in the mirror. Lyra/Anna – The protagonist of the movie. She is a star student, known to everyone around her, mostly for her good looks.

    Plot

The picture pretty much leaves you confused right from the beginning itself with not a single clue about what the movie is actually about. The landscape that's set before us is depicted in a very colourful manner, but that is of no use to the plot since it doesn't take you to any specific location, which makes it feel very distant from the story and the scenes.

There's no context that explains how the castle came into existence, but the fact that the Snow Queen has imprisoned seven souls inside it is plain in the movie. The essence of the story revolves around this, and that is what drives the plot forward.

The character of Frozen actress Elle Fanning's performance as Gerda doesn't make a mark in this film, because of her performance, her looks and the way she's portrayed.

    Reviews

How was the movie? The Snow Queen 3: Fire and Ice is not an action movie. In fact, the lead characters don't even show their faces in the movie. It's just a romance-adventure film. There is a powerful message in this movie.

The subject is the fact that if your marriage breaks up, there can be a possibility of the other person picking up the pieces, despite the fact that you have no love for them anymore.

Another point is, if you are looking for adventure, an important part of it, without leaving home, is to travel to remote places, to spot rare animals, and use them to make beautiful crafts. It's quite different from being in the spotlight of society.

    The Story

The Snow Queen tells the story of two siblings who are reuniting after a long separation. The two live in a small mountain village with their mom. They have been left to look after their small family after their father passed away.

The two are spotted by two Ice characters – one of them in his white giant form, and the other as a very young boy, who were very close to each other when they were younger. While we see a little bit of their life in the present day, we also get a glimpse of their past.

The story in the present is about the siblings’ reunion with their mom. The rest of the story is about them taking it to the next level, as they find themselves drawn to one another, which is something they have never done in their lives. The start of the movie is mesmerising.

    Characters

The hero in this movie, Kai is played by the newcomer Kai Julian. He does a commendable job and he owns the screen. When it comes to the leading lady, Olivia, who has been called "the last chick on the planet", she makes her presence felt. The supporting cast is decent and they do justice to their roles.

Romance The chemistry between the hero and the heroine is strong. Lyrical content The music has been good. Although there are a couple of 'just one more kiss' songs. Positives: The slow paced songs are like family members, they connect you with the story and the characters. The dialogues are simple and honest. Negatives: The dialogues aren't poetic enough.

Does it live up to the hype?

The Snow Queen 3 Movie Review: The rare gift of getting into all kinds of trouble is their family trait. What else can you expect from the ones raised on a remote island? It doesn’t take long to guess who will be the one to test them again.

Three years have passed, and she has a new look. Frigga is now a doctor, with new responsibilities. It’s time to complete her studies and join the medical college in town. In the meanwhile, she’s requested to complete her last rite of passage: climbing one mountain peak after another.

Watch The Snow Queen 3: Fire and Ice movie trailer here: Everything looks perfect, even the test results that prove her genetic ancestry, as they are all good. She’s all set to graduate, when she is found passed out and struggling for life.

    Conclusion

The Snow Queen 3 Movie Review: An enjoyable watch, the Snow Queen 3, is worth a watch, if you have a family that knows how to help you fix a toy…or a broken leg. The Snow Queen 3 is neither full of action, nor full of cheesy comedy.

If you are a fan of the original movie, it’s worth a watch and you should definitely take a shot at watching this one if you want to see your children take a break from the repetitive tales of Tom and Jerry or Ben 10 or anything that is mainstream for kids, which if you are in the mood for a quick mindless fun, you don’t have to search far.
