Raya and the Last Dragon (2021) Hindi Dubbed Movie story
One day, our hero Raya goes into the woods to meet a friend and then finds herself in a strange world where she’s forced to help her friend’s adopted father, a hunter, who doesn’t understand what’s going on.
So far, we’re doing okay with “same but different” here, right? Yes! The hunter and Raya eventually reach the backwoods of Kumandra where Raya has a weird encounter with a dragon, and the kiddos will be eager to see this one.
The interesting thing is that we’re not dealing with fantasy-based dragon-related creatures that Raya has to destroy—this is a completely different dragon story.
The Last Dragon, although absolutely phenomenal at portraying children’s issues and the things kids face, also gives us this totally alternative take on dragon mythology.
Plot
Each dragon gives out a piece of its soul, which is divided between the five groups of Kumandra: the priestly force, the craft guild, the merchant guild, the warrior force, and the mixed force.
Raya learns that Kumandra’s warriors practice two different styles of combat: “the Last Dragon,” which the warriors of the warrior force use to combat dragons with spears, clubs, and bows,
What is the story about?
A young girl named Raya journeys through the deserts of Kumandra in search of the last dragon. If she does, she will be granted the power of life-giving fire and be permitted to become the Champion of the title. If she fails, she will be killed, and the Champion title will pass on to someone else.
If she’s the Champion, she’ll fight for the survival of the Kumandra people, which is a pretty extreme sacrifice. Based on the show that’s airing on Disney Junior, “The Last Dragon” follows Raya’s quest for the legendary Dragon’s Eye and to become the Champion of the world.
Raya also deals with the strong, sometimes antagonistic relationship with her mother, Tuko. What’s it like watching it as a parent? I was definitely worried about what this movie would be like for Raya.
Plot Summary
There is an ancient legend about a last dragon with the power to create unlimited fire and power. The world in which we live is slowly becoming polluted and over populated. King Krillia sends his children to Kumandra, the land of a long lost paradise, for a special summer training program.
He believes that there is a cure for all the world’s ills. His two children, Drake and Molly are forced to live in a haunted tower. A mysterious stranger named Yolander, who calls himself the Dragon Keeper, escorts the kids to Kumandra.
Once the kids arrive in Kumandra, they are taken to the training camp. While at camp, Drake and Molly learn about the legend of the last dragon and the Dragon Keeper. Each day, they are woken up by a magic horn. They go outside to sit in the night air.
How will your kids react to the story?
Two years ago, Entertainment One (eOne) and independent film distributor Page 44 Films launched The Last Dragon: The Rise of Raya into the digital world, where it has now reached more than 20 million viewers worldwide.
Of the film, eOne wrote: Raya isn't your typical superhero movie. In fact, she's not a superhero at all. Rather, she's a kindhearted, motivated young girl who will do whatever it takes to survive in a mysterious and technologically advanced land called Kumandra.
What began as a simple mission to find the last dragon evolved into an unlikely journey that brought together Raya and her unlikely comrades with unexpected results.
What is your opinion about the story?
Did the story move you? If you want to recommend a movie for the kids, which one do you think is the best one to show them? This movie is recommended for ages 12 and older.
How was it for you?
Short Answer Cool. Long Answer
1. The animation. For an animated movie to get made, it must have an amazing story.
Although there were things about Raya that weren't very good
—I don't understand why people would want Raya to be blonde, for one thing, and while her best friend is very cool, her personality just seems a little flat, and the romantic subplot wasn't all that appealing
—I thought it was a cool story.
I loved the comic book feel of the movie.
2. The music. It's a remix of "Anthem" from the Anthem soundtrack. It was just so mellow and beautiful that I fell in love with it instantly, and I had to play it for Raya every single time I watched it.
3. The story.
The message of the film
"You are what you think, and you think what you are." - The Dragon. Raya the Last Dragon is a movie full of adventure and action. The message of the film Raya the Last Dragon depicts the search for life and the development of Raya’s character throughout the movie.
The film takes place over a period of a few months as Raya and friends work together to save the planet. The story is simple yet intriguing, it feels like a modern day, prequel story to The Lord of the Rings.
For the most part, it's an origin story about Raya's character and the threat of the dragon which comes to Kumandra as he finds his powers and becomes more civilized. It is set in an unfamiliar world with characters you wouldn't typically associate with, just like the dragon in the movie.
Great for kids, not so great for adults
I was really excited to see the Last Dragon because I was curious to see how they would make an animated movie that incorporated real-world science and talked about real-world issues (all while making a completely awesome dragon movie, of course). This movie is probably geared more toward kids than adults but if your kids are at least 6 years old or thereabouts, it's a must-see.
The acting is well done and the message is well delivered. "True art for kids does not just happen. It's not a natural or inevitable process; it requires work.
" -Jacqueline Crowley Raya and the Last Dragon is a movie for kids that discusses science, evolution, climate change, diversity, and why we need more positive role models for girls. There's no swearing or excessive violence.
Conclusion
I give Raya and the Last Dragon a 4 out of 5 stars. I was very impressed with the technical quality and special effects, the acting and writing was great, and the story was pretty good too.
At this point, I can’t wait for the DVD to come out so I can share it with my kids. Seriously, if you have kids, please watch it with them. I promise they’ll love it.
