The Misfits (2021) Hindi Dubbed Movie Review: A Remake Worth Watching |
I'm not sure why this movie hasn't gotten more attention. There are a lot of factors that go into how a movie does at the box office, but I think the marketing for this movie could have been better.
The Misfits is about a group of old friends who go to Las Vegas to live out their lives. I don't want to give away the whole story, but I'll just say that the movie has a really interesting concept and it's worth watching.
I was expecting a lot of laughs, but I was surprised with how much I actually cried. It's a really touching movie. The Misfits (2021) is a remake of the 1961 movie “The Misfits” starring Marilyn Monroe.
The 20th century saw a lot of remakes, but the Misfits (2021) is one of the few remakes that was worth the watch. A remake of a classic movie is an opportunity to put a new spin on a story that has already been told.
It’s a chance to bring a new perspective to a story that has been told before. This is a movie worth watching.

My thoughts on the movie
The Misfits is a remake of a 2012 German film of the same name. It is directed by Tom Tykwer and produced by Constantin Film, Film4 and Paramount Pictures. The film premiered at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival on May 15, 2016, and received a theatrical release in the United States on June 9, 2017.
The Misfits premiered at the 73rd Venice Film Festival on August 30, 2016, and received a wider release in the United States on September 16, 2017. The Misfits begins with a brief introduction and advertisement of different criminals who make use of unorthodox methods to steal expensive items.
Then, a picture of British actor, Ralph Fiennes, who portrays Richard Pace, is shown as we are introduced to the main character.
What I Liked
A Remake Worth Watching The Remake The Misfits has the kind of fast-paced dialogue that is common among the teen slashers that were popular when I was growing up in the 90s. It's similar to the action scenes in movies like Jason X and Devil's Rejects.
It's a classic theme that also found a home in the horror/suspense sub-genre. These types of movies are usually released around the time school gets out, which I think is a good sign that teens will be excited to see it.
The Misfits boasts a decent array of special features. All of them are a good length, and they provide a good sample of the potential that director Ray Ricord had for this film. There's also a deleted scene, theatrical trailers, and a featurette featuring Ricord and star Bob Gourley.
What I Didn't Like
I'm just not crazy about remakes. There are a lot of good ones that get overlooked and made into 'the next big thing' when they are already old hat. The idea is to make something with fresh new energy.
With the remake of The Misfits, there is just not much new to be found. Why We Added This Movie To Our List Misfits has a big fan base. The movie was directed by Martin Campbell.
He was the director who brought the James Bond films together in the best way possible. He has directed many great action movies and he is an expert at directing action. This is his first 'different genre' project. He has made an exciting movie.
Why is this movie worth watching?
Here is a little trivia that I learnt after watching the movie, “When we think of him, we think of a guy who does everything very well. He has made big business. He’s made money by extortion. But when the movie comes on, you know that’s a waste of your time.”
This is what Michael Madsen tells Tom Hardy in The Misfits. He is exactly like this! The movie is written and directed by Alexandre Aja who has been a bit part of the horror genre and has also directed movies like Cannibal Holocaust and Piranha 3DD.
He is not an actor but he has delivered films that I have seen and enjoyed. And, The Misfits is one of them. Here are five reasons why you should watch it. Tomb Raider (2018) Movie Review: Tomb Raider Lara Croft is back in another take on the heroine who solves cases.

The Misfits – The Cons
In 1932, the 14th Amendment, gave its first test to the law of identity and US citizenship through a ruling in “The Misfits.” The Misfits case resulted in a Supreme Court decision which declared that two men could become naturalized citizens by marriage to a woman who was not a US citizen at the time of their marriage.
The Misfits case was seen as controversial because it questioned the very basis of a naturalization in which a citizen is born in the United States, remains a citizen, and the person becomes naturalized by acquisition of American citizenship through marriage to a foreigner.
The very idea of a foreign-born woman marrying a US citizen is normally a no-no since it goes against the very idea of citizenship.
Conclusion
All of the above make for a bold reimagining of the original film that works not only because it stays true to its roots but also because of its high production value and stellar cast.
Going into this, I was nervous that the movie would be weak because it's hard to take seriously the movie with Martin Lawrence playing a superhero. However, the movie had a good mix of humorous and poignant moments which should be appreciated.
Carli Brooks, One of the best Marvel superhero movies will definitely never be able to be resurrected in live action and I would not be surprised if nobody ever did so.
